The book aims to give the reader an easy understandable specialist book about the subject of Total Quality Management (TQM). Because of saturated markets, globalized business and permanently cut life cycle of products, enterprises are put under pressure. TQM 2011: Study of success factors

The purpose of this study is to find the benefits of TQM implementation, and to identify critical success factors (CSFs) in organizations, which should be highly noted.

TQM improves financial and non-financial success of companies. The study represents TQM not only increases profits, growth and efficiency in industries, but also value added and product innovation.

Quality in hospitals 2010

The published study "quality in hospitals 2010" pursues the goal to establish the actual position of the implementation of quality management. In the result, quality management plays a part in the hospitals, but there still exist potentials.

With putting the implementation of the quality management into practice of hospitals, it shows especially deficits in communication, formulation of objectives, in structured deployment of defined activities and in the evaluation.
Because of the hierarchy and the interaction of different employee groups as well as the cooperation of different contractors, a lack of information causes risk of mistakes and a loss of quality. General quality principles instead of concrete terminated, realistic and checkable goals are not enough, to transport necessary changes. Furthermore, it turned out, that there are also weak points in deployment of activities, because of missing experiences with project management. Up to now, too few hospitals use the possibility to discuss mistakes, weaknesses and potentials for improvement of the internal quality management in common with the involved person.

Furthermore the study demonstrates possibilities to set up an efficient quality management also with reduced resources, introduces methods for improvement and gives concrete suggestions for the implementation of measures for improvement. Besides, the study offers a possibility for comparison with other German hospitals.
In the end, there exist potentials for improvement in every hospital, but only who challenge the own business in a self-critical way, will belong to the best.

EFQM assessor training completed successfully

Nuremberg, Germany - At September 24th and 25th 2009 all attendants successfully completed the training to EFQM assessor. Ms. Susanne Kaldschmidt and Mr. Dr. Markus Reiche led through the course.

EFQM assessors are authorised to carry out self evaluations according to the EFQM methodology within enterprises. The self evaluation enables organisations to systematically identify their strengths as well as their room for improvement. The process of self evaluation entails measures for improvement, the review of progresses and finally the enhancement of the whole company.

The way to an excellent enterprise starts with an assessment of the strengths and the room for improvement. The excellence approach of the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) reflects the practical knowledge of excellent enterprises collected over several years and has today established as a practical instrument - independent of size, type or industry. Smart emtering: The new way for energy suppliers

Nuremberg, Germany - Smart metering is a challenge for companies in the power supply industry. New technologies have to be integrated and processes and structures need to be adapted. But innovative product ideas are necessary, as well, to inspire customers in the long run.

In their second article in the trade journal "Energy & Management" QualityExperts demonstrate possibilities for smart-meter-organisations to differentiate from their competitors, for instance though individual customer portals. Training for EFQM assessor at the University of Wuppertal completed

The lecture on fundamentals of TQM and the training for EFQM assessor in the degree course MSc Quality Engineering has taken place on December 6th and 7th 2008. All students of the University of Wuppertal completed successful the training as EFQM assessor. Ms. Dipl. Wi-Ing. Anna Dahlem and Mr. Dr.-Ing. Markus Reiche (MBA) led through the course.

The first part of the training as EFQM assessor and improvement of companies has been completed at the University of Wuppertal

The lecture on fundamentals of TQM and the assessment with the EFQM Model in the degree course MSc Quality Engineering has taken place on October 25th and 26th 2008. At the same time, the students of the University of Wuppertal had the opportunity to complete the training as EFQM assessor. Ms Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Petra Winzer and Mr Dr.-Ing. Markus Reiche (MBA) led through the presentation.
